Open space

North or North-East part of building should be kept open due to Vastu shastra.
Plant should be grown in the North and North-East part of the plot or building because they receives constant sunlight to better development of plants.
We should not be cut or round the corners of open space in the house.
The North and North – East part of boundry wall should be kept less than other side of building wall or we can say that we should be kept the height of open space less than main roof of building.
We should kept more number of windows and doors in open portion side to allow the natural light and air in the home.
