Holi festival falls on every Poornima (Full Moon) in month of Falgun or March month. This is the only festival which makes people forget their personal rivalry or enmity and enfold each other with enormous feelings of adulation. Since prehistoric times the festival of Holi has been in subsistence. Many religious believes are allied with this festival. The ritual of playing colors during festival Holi is associated with legend of Radha and Krishna. It is believed that Krisha was quite dark and Radha was pretty fair. Krishna, seeing the fair complexion of Radha in jealous and playful mood, applied colors on Radha’s face to tease her. Since then this tradition of applying colors on each other face has became popular. The other oldest faith on festival of Holi is about remarkable devotion of Bhakt Prahalad who was a younger child and a great devotee of Lord Vishnu. On that day Holika want to burn Bhakt Prahalad But Holika was burn herself completely and Bhakta Prahalad was remain safe from fire. Festival of Holi also remarks victory of ‘virtue over sin’ or ‘good over bad’.

They speedily rub different gulal or colors on each other face. And, they loudly join in the echo “Bura Na Mano Holi Hai”. Children also get liberty of vivaciously throwing balloons filled with colored water. On such wonderful and colorful occasion, all people like to mess the faces of others with plentiful holi colors or gulal. Many drinkers garishly like to devour Bhang on this festival. Drinking a full glass of Bhang or Alcohol takes one perfectly out of conscious thought and they completely immerse themselves in ocean of colors on this day.
