Vaishnavi :

Vaishnavi refers to the female energies of the great god Vishnu . She is related to Tantra worship . It is said that two demons Shumbha and Nishumbha defeated Indra and captured heaven .
In order to help the gods, Devi Durga went there as Chandika to overpower them . Though
unafraid, the gods decided to create seven warrior goddesses from their own effulgence and arm them with their own weapons . These were the Sapta Matrikas , the seven goddesses of pure shakti , protective mothers and fighting furies . Vishnu created Vaishnavi thus . The goddesses merged back into Chandika when she started her confrontation with the demon Nishumbha .
So Vaishnavi was part of an army of fighting goddesses, brave, daring, fearless, and ruthless .
Ma Vaishno Devi was also called Vaishnavi because of her taking birth from Lord Vishnu ‘ s lineage . Her birth name was Trikuta and when she was nine years old, she sought her father’ s permission for doing penance on the sea- shore . Trikuta prayed to Lord Vishnu in the form of Rama . During Rama ‘ s search for Sita , he reached the sea- shore along with his army . His eyes fell on this divine girl in deep meditation . Trikuta told Rama that she had accepted him as her husband . Rama told her that during this incarnation, he had vowed to be faithful to only Sita . However the Lord assured her that in ‘ Kaliyuga ‘ he would manifest as ‘ Kalki ‘ and would marry her .
