Bhuvaneshwari mata :
During the Puranic times, there was a cult of the divine mother, who according to early Bhuvaneshwari-devi1myths originated from the male gods, but in the female form . They then assumed independent personalities . Bhuvaneshwari is one of these saptamatrikas and is the consort of Lord Shiva . She is the central diety of Shakti worshippers Shiva is the cause behind the evolution of this creation and his power lies in goddess Bhuvaneshwari. Her ambrosia nourishes the whole world . She blesses her devotee by making him fearless and also helps him in the accomplishment of all the powers . She is also known as Maya or the Shuddha Vidya. Her complexion is red like a rising Sun and she has three eyes . She wears the moon in her crown . Her soft smile reflects her favor and kindness . A hook and a noose in her hand show her controlling power . However, her appearance is somber . The worship of Bhuvaneshwari is an attempt to receive knowledge of God as a direct experience . The basic idea here is that the restriction of an individual consciousness is an artificially imposed one, and it is possible to transcend this by sadhana . This way the illusory nature of the world is destroyed, and the true nature of the world is made self evident . Bhuvaneshwari is perceptive power leading to knowledge . Therefore She is Jnana Shakti. She is the space concept in creation, which is an extension of perception . As our vision widens, space grows and we are able to realize more and more the self – extension of the Divine . She creates the myriad primoridial worlds called ( Bhuvanas ) , and nurtures and sustains them . She is the all-pervasive force, pervading the fabric of creation .
